Connecting 180+ Artists to the Hunter Region.
The New Artists’ Collective builds bridges between local creatives and professional spaces through curated exhibitions, workshops, and sustainable partnerships.
Founded by Alanya van de Wiel
Cultivating a Sustainable Creative Practice.
The New Artists’ Collective is a growing network dedicated to connection and growth across Newcastle, Lake Macquarie and the Hunter Region. We bring artists together through exhibition programs, artist-led talks, workshops, and regular community gatherings to create environments where meaningful creative careers can thrive.
TWO PILLARS
Artists
The collective offers opportunities to connect with other artists, participate in exhibitions, attend talks and workshops, and build supportive professional relationships.
Artists at all stages of their careers are welcome, from early emerging practitioners to established creatives looking to engage with a vibrant local network.
Organisations
The collective also works with organisations interested in engaging with the local creative community.
This may include curated exhibitions in professional spaces, artist-led workshops, installations, and opportunities to acquire original work from talented local artists.
Partnering with artists can bring creativity, cultural value and fresh perspectives into workplaces and public-facing environments.
